Quinta Da Manoella VV Douro Red

From a 106 year old vine parcel that is a veritable relic, grapes from a field blend of more than 20 varieties are harvested.  From these a wine has been crafted with exceptional complexity and concentration, the result of perfect maturation and extraction, ready to undergo long aging in new French oak casks, gaining depth and aromatic richness.  Deep cherry red, very silky and elegant. A lovely combination of dark chocolate, fruit sweetness and a dry mineral texture. The tannins are firm but no rough edges, very long, fresh and pure finish.

Quinta da Manoella Vinhas Velhas is the maximum expression of the identity and quality of this century-old vineyard, which is one of the greatest symbols of the history and tradition of a family intimately associated with the Douro. This wine is hailed as one of the great Douro wines.
